{"id":1044,"date":"2021-11-06T15:31:51","date_gmt":"2021-11-06T15:31:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ciuc.cmb.ac.lk\/?p=1044"},"modified":"2021-11-08T20:30:37","modified_gmt":"2021-11-08T20:30:37","slug":"completion-of-hsk-hskk-online-examination-by-confucius-institute-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ciuc.cmb.ac.lk\/index.php\/2021\/11\/06\/completion-of-hsk-hskk-online-examination-by-confucius-institute-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Completion of HSK &#038; HSKK Online Examination by Confucius Institute &#8211; 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Confucius Institute, University of Colombo (CIUC) successfully conducted the internet-based Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK\/HSKK, home edition) for year 2021 on 30<sup>th<\/sup> October 2021.\u00a0 This online examination covered the levels of HSK 3-5, HSKK\u00a0intermediate and advance levels, with the participation of 153 students at CIUC test center.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2020, the CIUC cancelled HSK\/HSKK all on-site tests due to the pandemic. \u00a0In order not to affect the students\u2019 application for International Chinese Language Teachers (Confucius Institute) scholarships 2020, CIUC conducted the first Internet-based HSK\/HSKK test in the last year\u00a0May with the support and guidance Chinese Testing International (CTI). \u00a0\u00a0The \u00a0CIUC has conducted\u00a0four online home editions for 329 students for the year 2021.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The team of CIUC made full preparation before\u00a0all the tests with the strong\u00a0guidance of Senior Professor Lasantha Manawadu, Dean, Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo, Professor Wimal Hewamanage, Sri Lankan Director of the Confucius Institute.\u00a0 They studied the operation instructions and invigilation management manual of Internet-based tests, checked the network, tried out the equipment, helped the students to download and to install the HSK\/HSKK client, provided training for students and conducted mock tests for\u00a0students. \u00a0A WhatsApp\u00a0group was established to communicate with students. \u00a0Each time, the CIUC has done all the work in detail to ensure the smooth progress of the test.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All the lecturers of CIUC cooperated together and successfully completed the Internet-based HSK\/HSKK test for year 2021. The students expressed that the Internet-based tests provided much convenience for them and they extended thanks to the lecturers for their patient guidance and the help. \u00a0The CIUC timely conducted the Internet-based HSK\/HSKK tests to serve Chinese learners in Sri Lanka based on the actual needs of the students.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style type=\"text\/css\">\n\t\t\t#gallery-1
