{"id":493,"date":"2020-06-25T16:03:51","date_gmt":"2020-06-25T16:03:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ciuc.cmb.ac.lk\/?p=493"},"modified":"2021-02-15T15:58:45","modified_gmt":"2021-02-15T15:58:45","slug":"honghe-university-donated-medical-masks-to-the-faculty-of-arts-25th-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ciuc.cmb.ac.lk\/index.php\/2020\/06\/25\/honghe-university-donated-medical-masks-to-the-faculty-of-arts-25th-june\/","title":{"rendered":"Honghe University donated medical masks to the Faculty of Arts &#8211; 25th June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On behalf of the Honghe University (one of the two Chinese Partners of the Confucius Institute of University of Colombo) Sri Lankan Director Dr. Wimal Hewamanage and the Chinese Director Prof. Huang Wei donated 5,000 medical masks to Faculty of Arts on <strong>25<sup>th<\/sup> June 2020<\/strong>. \u00a0Since the \u2018Duan Wu Festival\u2019 in China is celebrated on the 25<sup>th<\/sup> of June, the masks were donated as a festival gift to share the efforts to prevent pandemic with the staff members of the Faculty of Arts, who have been working as well as preparing for the recommencement of academic activity of the Faculty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Senior Professor Premakumara de Silva, Dean &#8211; Faculty of Arts, received the masks on behalf of the Faculty with Mr. P. M. S.
