Chinese Proficiency Test HSK and HSKK – Online 2020
Confucius Institute, University of Colombo (CIUC) launched the Chinese Proficiency Test HSK and HSKK on 31st May 2020. As the first HSK and HSKK tests organized by CIUC, Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo, Senior Prof. Chandrika N Wijeyaratne and Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Senior Prof. Premakumara de Silva attached great importance to it and reviewed the test program carefully before it was approved.
It was the first test since the establishment of the Chinese Test Center at the CIUC, which was built with the agreement between CIUC and Chinese Testing International Co., Ltd (CTI). The Center is eligible for organizing the standard Chinese language proficiency tests, including Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK), HSK Speaking Test (HSKK), Business Chinese Test (BCT), and Youth Chinese Test (YCT).
The HSK and HSKK tests (home edition) were conducted online worldwide this time considering the coronavirus pandemic situation. 47 examinees from the whole country sat for the examination and candidates highly appreciated the opportunity provided by CIUC.
