Confucius Institute, UoC donates Medical Masks and Thermometers - 11th May

On behalf of the Confucius Institute at the University of Colombo, Dr. Wimal Hemawanage – Director, Sri Lanka and Prof. Vivian Huang – Director, China donated medical masks and thermometers to Senior Prof. Premakumara de Silva –  Dean, Faculty of Arts on 11th May 2020.

          These two batches are donated for staff members of the Faculty of Arts by the Beijing Foreign Study University (one of the Chinese partner universities of CIUOC) and the Bank of China – Colombo Branch since they support and appreciate the faculty staff coming to the campus to maintain the functions of the university.

          Senior Professor Premakumara de Silva highly appreciated this donation as the novel coronavirus pandemic has run rampant worldwide.  Solidarity and cooperation are the most powerful weapon against the disease.  CIUOC will keep going to work with UOC to fight against the global pandemic virus.
