Directors of Confucius Institute – UoC Visited Vidyarathna Maha Pirivena, Horana – 14th May
Directors of the Confucius Institute at the University of Colombo, Dr. Wimal Hewamanage and Prof. Vivian Huang visited Vidyarathna Maha Pirivena¸ one of the teaching spots of CIUC, on May 14th 2020.
The CIUC handed over masks, protective clothing, goggles and latex gloves to the two Chinese teachers, Ms. Jin Xue and Ms. Li Yufan, who have been teaching here for two years and are leaving for China since their term comes to the natural end. Another Chinese teacher at Peradeniya University, Ms. Zhang Shaoling, is leaving altogether with the same pandemic protection outfit provided by CIUC.
They had a discussion with Ven. Dr. Diyagama Narada about the future development of Chinese language teaching program at Vidyarathna Maha Pirivena. Attention also was paid on online teaching because of pandemic situation with Covid 19.
